A man sustained severe burns in a fire in Sormovo.

      A fire broke out on the premises of a motor transport company in the Sormovsky district of Nizhny Novgorod. According to the regional State Labor Inspectorate, a man suffered multiple burns as a result of the incident and is currently hospitalized in serious condition.

      The fire ignited in the early hours of September 27 in a rest room on the second floor of the building. A man was inside at the time.

      The victim was urgently taken to FGBOU VO PIMU of the Russian Ministry of Health. He reported that he was at his workplace when the blaze began. Doctors diagnosed burns to his face, respiratory tract, torso, arms and legs, and mild burn shock. The patient's condition is assessed as severe.

      It is known that the enterprise where the fire occurred belongs to individual entrepreneur D.V. Kargin. According to him, the injured man had previously been offered a job as an auto mechanic.

      In connection with the incident, the inspectorate has opened an investigation into an occupational accident.

      Earlier it was reported that a route bus struck a courier on an electric bicycle on Meshchersky Boulevard.
