Prohibited goods from Uzbekistan were seized at Nizhny Novgorod airport.

Employees of the Border Veterinary Control Department at the state border of the Russian Federation and on transport, part of the Rosselkhoznadzor administration for Nizhny Novgorod Region and the Republic of Mari El, conducted inspections of 60 flights arriving at Nizhny Novgorod Airport from countries outside the CIS and EAEU, the CIS and the EAEU. According to the agency's press service, three consignments of animal-origin products prohibited from being imported into Russia were discovered during the checks. The total weight of the seized goods amounted to 4.44 kilograms. In particular, one consignment of dairy products weighing 2.28 kg was identified, as well as two consignments of bee honey with a total weight of 2.16 kg. All the products arrived from Uzbekistan with violations: without veterinary accompanying documents, without factory packaging and labeling. In addition, it was determined that the products were homemade. The safety-violating products were seized and destroyed in the prescribed manner — by incineration in an incinerator located on the airport grounds.
