For the period of increased demand ahead of the November holidays, additional runs of long-distance train No. 231/232 on the Kirov–Moscow route have been scheduled on the Gorky Railway.
“We analyze passenger flows on various routes. Trains connecting Kirov, Nizhny Novgorod and Moscow are always popular with passengers. Demand traditionally increases ahead of the holidays,” said Sergey Dorofeevsky, head of the Gorky Railway, a branch of JSC Russian Railways (RZD).
Thus, from Kirov the train will depart on October 31 and on November 2 and 4 at 02:11, arriving in Moscow the same day at 14:08. In the opposite direction, the train will depart from the Russian capital on October 31 and on November 2 and 4 at 21:25 and will arrive in Kirov the next day at 10:00.
Stops en route include, among others, Nizhny Novgorod and Vladimir.
Note that from January to August 2025 long-distance trains on this route carried nearly 200,000 passengers. This is 0.1% more than in the same period last year.
