In Arzamas, Nizhny Novgorod Region, a traffic accident occurred involving a passenger car and a female cyclist, the regional traffic police department reported.
The accident occurred near building No. 2 on Oktyabrskaya Street. According to preliminary information, the driver of a Chevrolet Niva, when turning left, violated the road markings.
As a result of that maneuver, he struck a woman born in 1953 who was riding a bicycle.
The victim, with injuries of varying severity, was taken to the hospital in the city of Arzamas.
The circumstances of the incident are being clarified.
