Over the first nine months of 2025, 1,407 cases of fare-rule violations were recorded on public transport in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast. These figures are provided by the Region’s Center for Transport Systems Development.
Most of the violations were related to riding without a ticket. There were 1,027 protocols drawn up for this. Another 380 cases concerned the illegal use of someone else’s preferential cards.
The total amount of fines resulting from the inspections reached 1.862 million rubles. At the same time, 71 people did not make the payment within the prescribed period, and the materials concerning them were handed over to court bailiffs for enforced collection.
Recall that the fine for riding without a ticket is 1,000 rubles, and for using someone else’s preferential card — 2,000 rubles.
Earlier it was reported that bus fares can now be paid via geolocation.
