      For a long time the area near building No. 17/4 on Rodionova Street in Nizhny Novgorod was in a deplorable state. However, thanks to the intervention of social precinct officers, this year the area has been transformed — the road and the sidewalks adjacent to the building were repaired. The curbstone was also replaced and the road was widened to increase parking spaces. All work was carried out using city and regional budget funds as part of the campaign to repair 275 adjacent areas in Nizhny Novgorod in 2025.

      “This road used to be very unsafe — there’s heavy traffic, many cars. And there’s a school and kindergartens very close by,” recalls local resident Irina Barashkova. “We are very glad that, through joint efforts, we managed to solve this problem.”

      Local residents, together with the social precinct officer, approached the administration of the Nizhegorodsky District with the initiative to renovate the courtyard. The actual work was carried out by the housing management company.

      “It is very important for us not only to collect ‘feedback’ from residents, but also to respond to every request. I am pleased that we were able to help the residents of this neighborhood,” said Nadezhda Averyanova, the social precinct officer of the Nizhegorodsky District.

      The "Social Precinct Officer" project itself was launched in spring 2023 at the initiative of the governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Gleb Nikitin. It is currently operating in Nizhny Novgorod, Kstovo, Dzerzhinsk, Bogorodsk and Arzamas. During this time, more than 1,400 people have joined the project, interested in supporting their small homeland.
