An additional 1.8 billion rubles will be allocated for relocating Nizhny Novgorod residents from unsafe housing. This was reported by Deputy Governor Yegor Polyakov on his Telegram channel.
He clarified that the corresponding amendments to the 2025–2027 budget were approved by the region's Legislative Assembly. According to Polyakov, the regional budget's revenues and expenditures were increased by 1.8 billion rubles using funds from the public-law company "Territory Development Fund."
Earlier, 3.5 billion rubles had been provided in the 2025 budget for relocating citizens from the emergency housing stock, of which 73 million rubles came from the Fund's resources.
Now the total amount of funding for resettlement measures will exceed 5 billion rubles. As Polyakov noted, this will allow an additional approximately 2,000 people to be relocated from 32.5 thousand square meters of emergency housing.
It was previously reported that more than 10.5 thousand square meters of emergency housing were resettled in the Nizhny Novgorod region in 2025. NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has a Telegram channel.
