Productivity at the Nizhny Novgorod sports facility increased by 35% thanks to the federal project "Labor Productivity."

      Experts from the Regional Competence Center (RCC), together with staff from a branch of LLC SB "More Sport" in the Gorodetsky district, summed up the results of implementing the tools of the federal project "Labor Productivity" of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy."

      The company specializes in providing short-term accommodation and hosting sporting events. The process of preparing and comprehensively servicing rooms for check-in was chosen as the pilot stream.

      According to the Minister of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, Maxim Cherkasov, over six months RCC experts, together with the company's staff, analyzed the pilot site and identified 24 bottlenecks, including time lost moving during cleaning, increased time for checkout cleaning, and excess stocks of cleaning chemicals.

      "RCC specialists, together with the company's project team, developed a set of measures to optimize the check-in preparation process and comprehensive room servicing. For example, to reduce unnecessary movements by housekeepers, linens were distributed by general workers, and specialized shelving trolleys were purchased, which reduced movement time by 86 percent. A standard for storing and replenishing cleaning chemical supplies was also introduced, which eliminated excess stocks and made finding materials 50 percent faster. As a result of the implemented changes, output in the pilot stream increased by 35 percent," Maxim Cherkasov said.

      RCC specialists trained 12 company employees in lean technologies and prepared two internal trainers who will be able to train their colleagues independently in the future.

      The "More Sport" sports facility is currently the only accommodation provider in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast participating in the federal project "Labor Productivity" of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy." A total of 298 regional companies are participants in the federal project.
