Participants in the eco-cleanup collected 120 cubic meters of trash in the Bor forests.
September 25, 2025, 5:34 PM. Society: In the urban district of the city of Bor, in the area of the village of Temryashino, the first stage of a large-scale community cleanup to eliminate four unauthorized dumps took place. The event was organized by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and the regional branch of the All-Russian public movement "Victory Volunteers" with the active participation of the administration of the urban district of Bor.
The cleanup was part of the All-Russian autumn campaign "Green Russia", which is taking place across the country from September 6 to 27. The aim of the large-scale environmental marathon is to unite the efforts of citizens, public organizations and authorities to improve the environmental situation and foster a careful attitude toward nature in line with the goals of the national project "Environmental Well-being."
"Once again we are convinced that only by working together can we tackle the tasks of restoring order and preserving nature. Such campaigns instill in the younger generation an important skill — to protect the environment and, by personal example, contribute to the cleanliness of their native land," said Alexander Gridnev, Deputy Minister of Ecology of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
More than 50 volunteers took part in the environmental campaign. Through the efforts of volunteers, Bor schoolchildren and employees of the Bor administration, deposits of household and construction waste that had accumulated for years at illegal dumps were removed from the green tract near the village of Temryashevo. A total of 120 cubic meters of waste was collected and prepared for further disposal.
"For us, such events are much more than just a cleanup. They are a continuation of our main principle: to show care for our Motherland not with words but with deeds. The scale of today's event in the Borsky district is impressive — several dozen people united by a single goal were able to eliminate long-standing sources of pollution. This is a vivid example of how the power of collective action can solve serious problems. I sincerely pride myself on every volunteer who, despite personal plans, found the time and strength to come to Temryashino," said Maria Samodelkina, head of the regional branch of the All-Russian public movement "Victory Volunteers."
The organizers invite all concerned residents to join the campaign and help in the fight for the cleanliness of their native land. You can apply to participate at: https://forms.yandex.ru/u/68d2b4c9f47e7342fe9c7fd4.
It should be recalled that since 2025, at the direction of President Vladimir Putin, the national project "Environmental Well-being" has come into effect in Russia, carrying out the tasks previously provided for in the national project "Ecology." The new national project envisages care for the environment and improving its suitability for human life. The national project includes six federal projects: "General Cleanup," "Water of Russia," "Conservation of Biological Diversity and Development of Ecotourism," "Forest Conservation," "Circular Economy," and "Clean Air."
