The reconstruction of Lysogorskaya Street in Nizhny Novgorod will be completed by October.

      25 September 2025 17:22 Society. A large-scale reconstruction of Lysogorskaya Street is continuing in Nizhny Novgorod. The road surface renovation began back in August and is expected to be completed by early October 2025, reports pravda-nn.ru.

      The repairs cover the section from Rodionova Street to the embankment of the Rowing Canal. Over years of use the road has fallen into disrepair: the asphalt was riddled with potholes, the curbstones were destroyed, and the shoulders became overgrown with shrubs and trees.

      To date, the old asphalt on Lysogorskaya has already been removed, curbstones replaced, and new sidewalks laid on both sides of the roadway. In addition, workers cut down hazardous trees that posed a threat to motorists and pedestrians.

      Part of the new pavement has already been laid — including on the dangerous bend where trucks and dump trucks had previously overturned repeatedly.

      It was previously reported that the major overhaul of Belinsky Street in Nizhny Novgorod will begin after funding is approved.
