A Nizhny Novgorod–based dairy producer has joined the federal project "Labor Productivity".

JSC "Knyaginin Milk" became the 298th participant in the federal project "Labor Productivity" of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy" in the Nizhny Novgorod region. Experts from the regional competence center (RCC) will implement lean manufacturing tools at the enterprise.
The company specializes in dairy production (milk, tvorog, butter, kefir, cream).
"Company JSC 'Knyaginin Milk' became the eighth participant of the federal project 'Labor Productivity' that specializes in dairy production. Many enterprises in this sector have already completed the full cycle of implementing lean technologies and have shown respectable results. For example, LLC 'Zasnezhennaya Rus' increased output by 30 percent, and JSC 'Moloko' by more than 20 percent," said Maxim Cherkasov, Minister of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
RCC experts will work on site for six months. Together with the company's team they will select a pilot production line, analyze processes and identify bottlenecks. At the same time, employees will be trained in the basics of lean manufacturing.
