      Society — The historic building of merchant Guzeev’s shop at 140/2 Ilyinskaya Street in Nizhny Novgorod has been partially cordoned off with tape, reports a correspondent for NIA "Nizhny Novgorod".

      The two-storey, partly stone house caught fire on the night of 15 September. The fire covered an area of 150 square metres. A strong smell of burning still lingers near the building.

      Recall that in recent years the house stood empty — its residents were relocated and it was being prepared for transfer to an investor for restoration.
