      More than 2 million rubles were embezzled by the chief accountant of a consumer cooperative in Nizhny Novgorod

      Over a period of five months in 2024, the woman entered false information into the accounting reports, drew up fictitious contracts and certificates of completed work. More than 2 million rubles belonging to the cooperative were transferred by the 61-year-old offender to her bank account.

      The criminal investigation has been completed and will be sent to court for substantive consideration in the near future. The accused voluntarily reimbursed 490,000 rubles.
