A construction permit has been issued for the "Leto" sports club on the Rowing Canal.

      The Sports and Construction Ministry of the Nizhny Novgorod Region issued a construction permit for the "Leto" sports club in the Rowing Canal area. This was reported on the agency’s website.

      The document was issued on August 20 to LLC Aqualon. The complex will be located on the Pecherskiye Sands Peninsula. The project envisages the construction of a fitness and wellness complex with several sports areas.

      According to the sketch previously presented to the Architectural Council, the sports club will include three outdoor training grounds, two administrative buildings, and a parking lot. All sports areas will be equipped with special surfacing and enclosed by nets.

      Earlier it was reported that the regional Ministry of Urban Development approved an updated planning and land demarcation project for the tourist complex area covering Rodionova Street, Kazansky Syezd and Lysogorskaya. According to the document, the peninsula is to be developed as a recreational environment focused on sports and leisure.

      In addition, a new residential complex and a school will be built on the Rowing Canal.
