      The sports authorities of the Nizhny Novgorod Region plan to allocate an additional 234.7 million rubles to the expenses of the Center for Sports Management and Development of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The proposal is contained in a draft of amendments to the regional budget for 2025 submitted to the Legislative Assembly.

      According to the explanatory note to the document, a significant portion of the funds — 212.7 million rubles — is intended to support professional teams: the hockey club "Torpedo" and the football club "Pari NN". It should be noted that the football club recently underwent personnel changes — David Melik-Guseinov left his post as general director.

      Another 22 million rubles are proposed to be allocated for organizing and holding the annual sporting event — the "Nizhny Novgorod" marathon (0+).

      An additional 11.5 million rubles are planned to be allocated to support the operation of the Boxing Center in Gorodets, which was opened in August of this year.

      It was previously reported that the Center for Sports Management and Development of the Nizhny Novgorod Region unveiled an updated branding.
