      It was reported yesterday that David Melik-Guseinov, the general director of the football club Pari Nizhny Novgorod, had resigned: he himself announced via social media that he was ending his work at the Nizhny Novgorod club.

      Sports journalist Ivan Karpov shared information that Vitaly Karasev, who currently serves as executive director of the football club Volna, is a candidate for the general director position.

      Another sports insider, Andrey Babich, reported that to replace Melik-Guseinov at Pari NN, in addition to Karasev, they are considering former Krylia Sovetov general director Vadim Andreev. However, according to him, Karasev is indeed the favorite.

      36-year-old Vitaly Karasev is a native of Nizhny Novgorod. His professional path began at the Center for Sports Training, where he took an active part in organizing the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Later Karasev headed the Borsky sports center, which is today known as Academy 52.
