The restoration and adaptation project for the trade-and-warehouse building of the Nizhny Novgorod Fair received a positive conclusion from the state expertise. This is reported in the EGRZ.
The object, recognized as an architectural monument of regional significance, is located at 23 Mira Boulevard in the Kanavinsky District of Nizhny Novgorod. The complex is part of the Nizhny Novgorod Fair — one of the city's main architectural and historical symbols.
The developer is the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Notarial Chamber. The project documentation and engineering surveys were carried out by the companies LLC "Veles NN" and LLC "Istoki".
The historic building was constructed in the second half of the 19th century. In January 2023 it was officially granted the status of a cultural heritage site. According to the law, this imposes strict restrictions: demolition, alteration of the exterior appearance, construction within the protected zone, and placement of advertising structures are prohibited. Only conservation work and the laying of engineering utilities are permitted.
In November 2023 it was reported that the building was being sold to the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Notarial Chamber.
It was previously reported that apartment building No. 10 on Gogol Street, which is an object of cultural heritage (OKN), would be expropriated from its owners for reconstruction.
