Politics: A three-day vote has started in the Nizhny Novgorod region. Polling stations opened on 12 September at 08:00.
The main elections for deputies are being held from 12 to 14 September 2025. Residents are voting in Nizhny Novgorod, Dzerzhinsk, Sarov, Kulebaki, Bor, Chkalovsk and Navashino. Election campaigns have also been organized in the Balakhna, Bogorodsk, Buturlino, Vad, Diveevo, Kovernino, Lyskovsky, Pavlovsky, Pochinkovsky, Tonshaevsky and Urensky districts.
In Nizhny Novgorod, 39 districts have been created for the elections to the city Duma of the first convocation, including four districts in the territory of the annexed Kstovo district. Among the candidates are representatives of various professions and generations: the lists include experienced politicians, newcomers, and participants in the special military operation.
The most common format is in-person voting at a polling station. You can cast your ballot on any of the three days the commissions operate from 08:00 to 20:00.
For those who are unable to visit a polling station in person, voting at home is provided. This form is available for valid reasons — for example, due to health or the need to care for relatives.
