      From September 15, stairways No. 1 and No. 2 of the Zarechnaya metro station will again be available to passengers for entry and exit. The municipal enterprise "Nizhny Novgorod Metro" reported that the construction of covered pavilions on these sections has been completed.

      The company clarified that they plan to open the exits at 5:15 on Monday. In addition to erecting the pavilions, the contractor carried out comprehensive repairs of the stair flights and landings. A heating system was installed, the walls were clad with porcelain stoneware, and stainless steel railings and handrails were mounted.

      In addition, a ventilated façade has been installed, platforms for passengers with reduced mobility, video surveillance systems and intercom devices have been installed. At the same time, delivery of equipment for lifting passengers with reduced mobility is delayed. The metro emphasized that a decision has been made: the installation work will be carried out during regular working hours, and the stairways themselves are fully ready for operation.

      Earlier it became known that repair work is also being carried out at entrance No. 6 of the Zarechnaya station. A covered pavilion will also appear there. Its design is based on the architectural concept presented by the winner of an open competition.

      It was also reported that 1.4 million rubles will be allocated for the repair of the roof above stairway No. 3 of the Zarechnaya metro station.

      Recall that due to the repairs, traffic on a section of Lenin Avenue is temporarily restricted.
