Nizhny Novgorod residents could win millions in an IT programming championship.

      Society: Registration has opened for the All-Russian Programming Championship True Tech Champ-2025 (16+) of the MTS digital ecosystem. Schoolchildren, students and current IT specialists from the Nizhny Novgorod region can take part in the competition.

      The tournament final will take place on 21 November at the MTS Live Hall in Moscow in the format of a hybrid reality show featuring a spectacular robot battle. The championship’s total prize fund is over 10 million rubles. Applications can be submitted on the project’s official website until 20 October inclusive.

      The championship includes two tracks: algorithmic and robotics programming. Participants in the first track will have to go through two online stages, solving problems of varying difficulty and working with data structures. Finalists will then meet in an in-person round. The winner will receive 1 million rubles, with 500,000 and 250,000 rubles awarded for second and third places, respectively.

      In the second track, participants will program robots in various languages (C++, Go, Python, JS, Java and C#). In the selection stage they will analyze data about a virtual maze and develop an algorithm allowing the machine to find the shortest path. After that, teams will assemble and modify robots to compete on different parts of the cube arena. All battles will be intensified with lighting effects, smoke and fire.

      In the final, which will be presented in the format of an anime series, each participant will receive a digital avatar and the robots on screens will turn into giant machines. Artificial intelligence will create a logo and a mascot for each team. The winners will receive 4 million rubles, second place — 2.5 million rubles, third — 1 million rubles.

      Event guests can also enjoy entertainment zones with intellectual, sports and creative activities from MTS Web Services and other companies in the group. In addition, an afterparty with a musical program and a DJ performance is planned.

      Those who cannot attend will be able to follow the events live. The online broadcast will be supplemented with animation synchronized with the competition’s progress, including augmented reality elements and dynamic streams.

However, the modern market requires professionals to continuously develop and actively exchange experience with colleagues. Our company, as a digital ecosystem, initiates such activities and holds events to support student initiatives in Russian cities where they are in demand, including Nizhny Novgorod,” said Andrey Belov, director of MTS in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
