Thirty-two participants of the "SVOe Delo" project attended seminars on developing business competencies held in Navashino, Semyonov and the town of Bor in the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
The project is being implemented by the regional Ministry of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship and the regional "My Business" center with the support of the branch of the "Defenders of the Fatherland" foundation, the Rabota Rossii personnel center, the Department of Labor and Employment of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, the Center for Social Innovation, and the Corporate University of the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region in line with the aims and objectives of the federal project "Small and Medium Entrepreneurship" of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy."
"The aim of the 'SVOe Delo' project is not simply to help participants start a business, but to minimize risks and ensure its successful development, including through the use of government support measures. That is why we chose a comprehensive approach to implementing the project. Most participants have already completed an online course on the basics of entrepreneurial activity and professional diagnostics. Now participants are mastering business tools at seminars in the region’s districts; to date 59 people from eight municipalities have completed the training. By the end of September educational events will be held in six more districts of the region," said Maxim Cherkasov, Minister of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
Participants of the "SVOe Delo" project from the Semenovsky, Navashinsky, Vyksa, Kulebaki, and Bor urban districts, as well as from the Ardatovsky, Krasnobakovsky and Voskresensky municipal districts, took part in the seminars in Semyonov, Navashino and the town of Bor.
Program participants from these municipalities plan to develop businesses related to furniture manufacturing, construction, agricultural activities, food service, garment tailoring, metalworking, car repair, writing literary works, accounting services, and fish farming.
Daniil Pechennikov from Vyksa, a participant in the seminar in Navashino, served in the army for more than 14 years. He was conscripted for compulsory service at the age of 18 and after completing it continued to serve under contract. During his service he was repeatedly in hot spots and became a participant in the special military operation. He has been awarded two "For Courage" medals. Daniil now plans to start his own business in construction, specializing in interior finishing of residential premises.
"When I didn’t have the funds to hire workers while building my own house, I turned to online lessons and mastered all the nuances myself. The result exceeded expectations, and soon I was already helping relatives and friends with repairs. Then I realized that these skills could be used for my own business. The 'SVOe Delo' project is helping me implement my plans. The knowledge gained in the project’s training modules is becoming the foundation of my future activity. In the near future I plan to register a business and start work, and in the long term — to develop it and provide jobs for SMO veterans, including those with disabilities," Daniil Pechennikov said.
Overall, it is planned that more than 140 residents of the Nizhny Novgorod Region — participants of the SMO and their family members — will complete training within the "SVOe Delo" project. The educational course will run until the end of December. For the winners of business games, employees of the "My Business" centers will develop individual development maps taking into account the current government support measures. The authors of the 10 best projects will be able to receive one of the services free of charge, related to website or online store development or other forms of product promotion, product certification, brand book development and business plan preparation, etc.

The national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy," initiated by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, will become the main instrument for forming a new growth model. It includes federal projects aimed at the development of small and medium-sized enterprises, increasing labor productivity, boosting investment activity, low-carbon development, and the development of the state system of statistics and forecasting.
