Incidents
Former head of Nizhny Novgorod "GUMMiD" Andrey Levdikov has been remanded in custody, the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod Region reported.
Recall that in May 2025 a criminal case was opened against the former official on charges of receiving a bribe on a particularly large scale. He was placed on the federal wanted list.
It has been established that in 2024–2025 the former head of the municipal government institution assisted a commercial organization in winning a municipal tender to carry out road construction and repair works in the regional capital. After the contract was signed he ensured unobstructed support for the transaction. For his "help" Levdikov received remuneration from the company's founder — payment for repairs to his own apartment. According to the Investigative Committee, the amount exceeded 7 million rubles.
On September 2 the court granted the motion of the investigator of the Second Department for the Investigation of Especially Important Cases of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod Region to impose a preventive measure in the form of remand in custody in relation to Levdikov.
Recall that in July the deputy general director of the municipal government institution "GUMMiD" was detained; he is suspected of exceeding his authority.
