September 1, 2025, 18:02 [124] Society — Eleven participants of the "СВОё дело" project took part in a seminar on developing business competencies held in Kstovo. The project is being implemented by the regional Ministry of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship and the regional "My Business" center with the support of the branch of the "Defenders of the Fatherland" fund, the Employment Center of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, the Center for Social Innovation, and the Corporate University of the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, in accordance with the goals and objectives of the federal project "Small and Medium Entrepreneurship" of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy."
Maxim Cherkasov, Minister of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, noted that participants in the "СВОё дело" project from Nizhny Novgorod and Kstovo attended the seminar.
"Entrepreneurship is the path that will allow SVO veterans and their family members to become successful builders of peaceful life not only for themselves but also, possibly, for their fellow citizens. Thanks to its comprehensive approach, the 'СВОё дело' project will help participants determine whether this direction suits them and will provide theoretical and practical skills for successfully running a business," Maxim Cherkasov said.
The minister added that seminar participants in Kstovo plan to develop business projects related to vehicle conversion and repair, woodworking production, agriculture, food service outlets, education for children and adults, construction, clothing manufacturing, equipment repair and leatherworking.
Seminar participants were briefed on the legal aspects of entrepreneurial activity, modern digital marketing tools, the basics of financial literacy, existing government support programs and effective personnel management.
The business seminars are being held on a cluster basis in the districts of the region. The one in Kstovo was the second of fourteen such events. The first seminar took place in Uren, with 16 project participants taking part.
One of the seminar participants, Maxim Mardarovski from Kstovo, makes handmade leather goods. Previously, Maxim was a professional serviceman: he graduated from a Suvorov military school, served in the Russian Navy and took part in the special military operation. In 2023, after being wounded, Maxim Mardarovski was discharged from the army.
"I devoted more than 14 years to service. When my health did not allow me to continue serving, I decided to try to realize myself by creating handcrafted products. The Kstovo branch of the regional 'My Business' center supported me in opening the workshop, and the start-up capital was a social contract for 350,000 rubles. My business is now operating successfully, but for further development I constantly need to increase my level of knowledge. The 'СВОё дело' project helps me with this. I have already completed the 'Basics of Entrepreneurial Activity' course and took part in the business-competency development seminar. The speakers covered many topics relevant to me. I was especially interested in the use of artificial intelligence in business processes, the basics of marketing, the advertising law and personnel management," Maxim Mardarovski said.
Currently, participants of the "СВОё дело" project continue to undergo training under the regional "My Business" center's "Basics of Entrepreneurial Activity" program and receive professional consultations from Employment Center specialists. In late September, the first tours of the production facilities of large regional enterprises will take place. The training will conclude with business games in which participants will learn to prepare business plans for their ventures. At the end of the educational block, project defenses will take place.
As previously reported, more than 140 residents of the Nizhny Novgorod Region will be trained under the "СВОё дело" project for SVO participants and their family members. The educational course will run until the end of December. For the winners of the business games, "My Business" center staff will develop individual development maps taking into account current government support measures. The authors of the 10 best projects will be able to receive free one of the services related to website development, an online store or other forms of product promotion, product certification, development of a brand book and a business plan, etc.
A reminder: information about all business support measures at the federal and regional levels can be obtained at the "My Business" center (мойбизнес52.рф), which operates within the federal project "Small and Medium Entrepreneurship" of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy." The center operates the "My Business" hotline where you can also get all the necessary information. Hotline phone: 8 (800) 301-29-94 (toll-free).
The national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy", initiated by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, will become the main instrument for forming a new growth model. It includes federal projects aimed at developing small and medium-sized enterprises, increasing labor productivity, boosting investment activity, low-carbon development and the development of the state system of statistics and forecasting.
