Society — Before the start of the school year, trichologist Tatyana Varenova gave important advice on caring for the hair of younger schoolchildren. Her recommendations were published by the medical news agency "Stacionar Press." The expert noted that school places strict demands on appearance, including a neat and tidy hairstyle. However, Varenova recommends avoiding tight hairstyles, such as ponytails or buns, and favoring softer options, such as braids or plaits. Strong and prolonged tension damages the hair, can cause headaches and lead to increased fatigue. The trichologist also advises limiting the use of hair clips and pins to avoid damaging the scalp. Constant pressure on the skin can lead to scarring alopecia, where the hair in that area does not grow back. This is especially true for children involved in gymnastics or dance, where tight buns are part of the sports uniform. In such cases, it is recommended to wear tight hairstyles only during training. In addition, the trichologist recommends that parents of schoolchildren stop using children's shampoos. Although they help children get used to washing their hair, such products are suitable only for fine, limp hair. By the start of school age, most children, especially girls, have hair that is thick and voluminous, and "adult" shampoos are required for effective scalp cleansing. You can choose products suitable for sensitive skin to avoid irritation. Earlier, Tatyana Varenova warned about the danger of washing hair with laundry capsules, and also spoke about the harm to hair of beer hair masks. NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has a Telegram channel.
