The Nizhny Novgorod bread factory was fined 210 thousand rubles after a worker was injured. This was reported by the State Labor Inspectorate in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
According to the information, on April 29 in the bakery products shop a 21-year-old packer-wrapper of the 3rd grade reached for a rag on equipment that was switched on and injured his hand. The main cause of the injury was the worker’s carelessness.
A contributing cause of the incident was the lack of supervision by the foreman over workers’ compliance with occupational safety requirements. During the inspection, specialists from the State Labor Inspectorate identified the following violations: the injured employee worked without undergoing a preliminary medical examination, the employer did not ensure the employee’s safety, and the employer also failed to enter the mandatory information about the knowledge checks carried out for the injured person into the system. As a result of the inspection, the enterprise was fined 210 thousand rubles.
