      Trichologist Tatyana Varenova told Nizhny Novgorod residents about the harm of tight hairstyles. Her words were relayed by the editor-in-chief of MIA “Stacionar Press”, Alexey Nikonov, on his Telegram channel.

      Ahead of the school year, trichologist Varenova spoke about hair care rules for primary school pupils. According to the specialist, it is better to avoid tight hairstyles and buns, and to prefer a braid or plait.

      “Regular, strong, prolonged tension harms not only the hair, but can also lead to headaches and rapid fatigue,” Varenova noted. In addition, the doctor recommends minimizing the number of clips and hairpins in a hairstyle, because damage to the scalp can lead to scarring alopecia. The doctor also does not recommend using “children’s” shampoos, as they do not wash hair well. By primary school age children already have a good hair volume, which means a children’s shampoo will not be able to properly cleanse the scalp.
