      The Nizhny Novgorod team "Normanochka" made history in domestic futsal by reaching the World Cup final. In the semifinal our girls displayed outstanding skill, thrashing the Brazilian club Faculdade Sogipa 10:1.

      The scoring in the goal fest was opened in the ninth minute by Evgenia Kovalenko, who later completed a brace, and the Nizhny Novgoroders' lead was extended by Fernanda, Elizaveta Nikitina, Elizaveta Sharapova, Ksenia Olkova, who also scored a brace, Maria Samoilova, Robinha and Irina Pravdina.

      Irina Pravdina was named the best player of the Normanochka — Faculdade Sogipa match.

      "We've reached the final we've waited for so long! It's hard to put into words the emotions overflowing our hearts at this thrilling moment. We feel pride, joy and, of course, hope," representatives of the Nizhny Novgorod club said on social media.

      In the second semifinal, the hosts, Brazilian team Stein Cascavel, secured a convincing 6:1 victory over NY Ecuador (USA). This match was also an important step on the way to the final for the Brazilian side.

      The tournament's final pairings are as follows:

      For 1st place: Stein Cascavel (Brazil) — "Normanochka" (Russia)

      For 3rd place: Faculdade Sogipa (Brazil) — New York Ecuador (USA)

      Tonight (31 August at 00:00) the final game will take place, which will determine the World Cup winner.
