Two warehouses and a market on Burnakovskaya Street will be demolished to make way for a new residential complex.

      The market located along Burnakovskaya Street in Nizhny Novgorod is planned to be dismantled. A new residential quarter is planned to be built in its place as part of the comprehensive development of territories (KRT) program. This is reported in the draft government decree on the comprehensive development of a non-residential built-up area, published by the regional Ministry of Urban Development.

      The future residential neighborhood will occupy the plot between the roadway and the lake in the Burnakovskaya lowland area. Currently there are warehouses, pavilions for wholesale trade in building materials, and a food service outlet.

      The demolition will affect two warehouses with an area of over 1,000 square meters, a shop and a utility building. All of them belong to a specialized developer called "Burnakovka."

      On the plot of more than 13.2 hectares it is planned to erect nine apartment buildings up to 25 stories high, as well as an enclosed parking facility, a kindergarten for 230 places, and other facilities.
