      The patriotic song festival "Music of the Proud" (0+) will once again be held in Nizhny Novgorod. The second concert in the series will take place on August 31 on the grounds of the Nizhny Novgorod Fair and will conclude the eponymous all-Russian competition.

      As the event organizers said at a press conference on August 28, the main participants of the evening will be the winners of the "Music of the Proud" project. Eight performers from different regions of the country, selected in the final across eight thematic categories, will take the stage. The names of the laureates are being kept secret for now; they will be announced at the concert itself. According to the organizers, this year the jury reviewed more than a thousand applications from across the country.

      Popular musical groups and performers will perform alongside the winners. They include the bands "Rok-Ostrova", "Svintsovy Tuman" ("Leaden Fog"), "Zveroboy", "Chapaev", as well as Django, Sergey Nikhayenko and other artists.

      The festival's headliners will be the band Lyube, singer Zara, rising performer BEARWOLF, and producer Igor Matvienko. For the first time an ethno-opera, "Prince Vladimir," will be presented on an open-air stage. The concert will be hosted by Rodion Gazmanov, Aleksandr Oleshko, Viktoria Cherenzova and Nizhny Novgorod native Elena Marakhovskaya.

      The festival was created at the initiative of Nikolai Rastorguev's foundation with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives. It was held in Nizhny Novgorod for the first time last year and drew about 30,000 spectators.

      "The last festival inspired me so much that I simply couldn't stop myself. I couldn't hold back, I started to sing, released a song, submitted an application, made it into the top hundreds, reached the final. For me it's just something fantastic. I've already heard my song on Radio 'Pride.' The emotions are overwhelming, to be honest. I hope that on the last day of summer we will, as we did last year, light it up," shared concert host Elena Marakhovskaya, who also became one of the contest finalists.

      Traffic in the city will not be closed because of the festival. For those who cannot attend in person, the concert will be streamed on the festival's social media channels.

      It was previously reported that popular performers performed at "Pari Fest" (18+) in Nizhny Novgorod.
