A section of the M-7 highway in the Kstovsky District, where motorists were sustaining widespread wheel damage, was promptly repaired. This was reported to NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" by the Federal Directorate of Highways "Moscow – Nizhny Novgorod."
The incident occurred this week at the 453rd kilometer of the road. One driver wrote on social media that, traveling from Nizhny Novgorod, he unexpectedly hit a deep pothole. As a result of the impact the wheel was damaged and two rims were bent.
According to the eyewitness, four cars with similar damage were already on the shoulder at that time — all had punctured tires and deformed wheel rims.
Road agency officials noted that information about the damaged section was received in a timely manner, and the pavement defect was fixed the same day.
Earlier it was reported that in the Nizhny Novgorod region between 2025 and 2027, 13 sections of federal highways totaling 174 km are planned to be overhauled and modernized.
It was also reported that contractors put in order about 215 km of three federal routes in the Nizhny Novgorod region from 2022 to 2024.
