A control-line flying field has been opened at the Youth Technical Station in Dzerzhinsk.

      This is a specially equipped site for holding training sessions, events and competitions in aviation and automotive modelling. The guests of honor at the celebration were Deputy Head of the city of Dzerzhinsk Margarita Bannikova, Director of the Department of Education of the city administration Olga Paleeva, and Director of the Station of Young Technicians Evgeny Borodin.

      "Right now a great deal is being done in the field of supplementary education to support children’s hobbies and talents," Margarita Bannikova said in her welcoming address. "I am confident that among today’s participants there are future engineers and pilots who will launch into the sky not only these small machines but real spacecraft."

      It should be recalled that in April 2025, with the support of the company Sibur–Neftekhim, the 'Training Cordodrome' project began. Work was carried out to replace the fencing and the asphalt surface. As of August 1, practical lessons and preparations for aeromodelling competitions, as well as launches of rubber-powered and radio-controlled cars, began to be held at the renovated cordodrome.

      This summer, students of the aviation-sports modelling association at the Station of Young Technicians, under the leadership of Alexander Zhabokritsky, took part in the Russian Championship and in four regional aeromodelling competitions in the class of radio-controlled F-31 model gliders. In all the tournaments the Station’s pupils won prize-winning places. In addition, during the summer school holidays three mass sporting events titled "Launch of Radio-Controlled Models" were held.
