"Get a Child Ready for School": United Russia activists continue to hand out backpacks and school supplies to schoolchildren in Nizhny Novgorod for the new academic year.

      The charity campaign is being held as part of the implementation of the party project "New School."

      The traditional all-Russian campaign "Prepare a Child for School" is taking place across the entire Nizhny Novgorod Oblast. Local party branches, deputies, activists and supporters of United Russia are actively participating in collecting the necessary supplies.

      School kits include: notebooks, drawing pads, colored paper, cardboard, pens, pencils, felt-tip pens, paints, brushes, rulers, textbook covers and other items. This year the assistance is aimed at first-graders from low-income and large low-income families, first-graders with disabilities, as well as children of participants in the special military operation.

      In the Ardatovsky municipal district, a wide range of stationery was collected ahead of September 1. The items were handed over to staff of the Comprehensive Center for Social Services for assembling the packages. The kits will be handed directly to the children.

Supporting families, especially those who need it most, is not a one-off event but part of our systematic work. For every child, Knowledge Day should be a celebration filled with joyful anticipation and new hopes. We want all children, regardless of circumstances, to have equal opportunities for successful schooling, to have all necessary supplies, and to be able to start the new school year with confidence and pleasure. Huge thanks to everyone who did not remain indifferent and contributed to this common cause!" said Militina Myakisheva, secretary of the local branch of the United Russia party in the Ardatovsky municipal district.

      In the Diveyevsky municipal district, more than 40 schoolchildren received backpacks and school kits as part of the campaign.

      "Every year millions of Russian families face the same task — preparing children for school. This period requires significant financial outlays for clothing, footwear, and, most importantly, all the necessary school supplies. This is not just a charitable initiative but a multifaceted project that has a substantial impact on the lives of thousands of families," said Dmitry Bortsov, Chairman of the Council of Deputies of the Diveyevsky municipal district and secretary of the local branch of the United Russia party.

      Member of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, member of the United Russia faction Evgeny Lebedev visited Nizhny Novgorod families raising children with disabilities and families of participants in the special military operation on the eve of Knowledge Day. The parliamentarian gifted children from the Prioksky and Leninsky districts of Nizhny Novgorod sets of stationery and certificates for the purchase of school and sports goods.

      "From the bottom of my heart I wished the children new achievements in their studies and a full, interesting life. I hope the school supplies will help them gain new knowledge. As a father myself, I know well how much time and money it takes to prepare a child for school. Today it is very important to help the families of the Defenders of the Fatherland and families raising children with disabilities so that the children are provided with everything they need.
