SVO volunteer: "I firmly decided to repay my debt to the Motherland"

      A group of volunteers departed for military service in the zone of the special military operation from the Nizhny Novgorod selection point. Residents from different regions of Russia are united by one goal – to fulfill their duty to the Motherland.

      One of the recruits is a resident of Surgut. Many of his friends are already serving under contract in the zone of the special military operation. The volunteer believes that every man should go through this.

      “I made my choice. I am firmly resolved to serve and to fulfill my duty to the Motherland. No one is being forced or coerced – this is each person’s decision. But I believe every man should go through this. We must devote our lives to serving the Motherland. After all, this is our country, and no one else will stand up for it but us. Russia is a strong country, and victory is always ours; in ’45 we defeated the Nazis and now we will win!” the volunteer said.

      The volunteer from Ryazan was head of a charitable foundation before signing the contract. The future participant in the special military operation has compulsory military service behind him and participation in the Second Chechen campaign.

      “It dawned on me – it’s time! One friend went to the SMO, another did too, and I decided there’s no point in sitting on the sidelines. I will carry out the assigned tasks with full responsibility. For me personally it’s not about the money at all – this is my duty to the Motherland. Victory will be ours – God is with us, strength is with us!” the man said.

      The dispatch of volunteers to their place of service and the issuance of additional equipment is provided by the Coordination Center for the Support of Servicemen, the Mobilized and Their Families, operating at the House of National Unity.

      Recall that the state provides defenders of the Motherland with decent financial support and assists their families. Those who sign a contract and go to the zone of the special military operation are also issued certificates granting 10 sotkas (1,000 square meters) of land in the Nizhny Novgorod region. The certificate can be used two years after it is issued.

      In addition, the Nizhny Novgorod region has a mechanism for concluding military social contracts, which additionally guarantee the contract serviceman’s family 10,000 rubles per month for each child, benefits for the payment of utilities, preschool service subsidies and other types of support. Individual assistance for the serviceman’s family is also provided.
