Nizhny Novgorod entrepreneurs are invited to a webinar on government and municipal procurement.

      Nizhny Novgorod entrepreneurs are invited to participate in the online webinar “Course for the Young Supplier (for beginners, taking into account all changes) under Federal Law No. 44‑FZ.” The webinar was prepared by the Russian electronic trading platform “RTS‑Tender” together with the regional center “My Business.”

      The Minister of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Maksim Cherkasov, noted that the participation of small businesses in public procurement helps ensure transparency of the procurement procedure and creates new opportunities for the growth and development of local enterprises.

      “Last year, small businesses in the Nizhny Novgorod Region concluded contracts for the supply of goods and services for state needs totaling more than 34.4 billion rubles. At the same time, the share of such contracts in the total procurement volume exceeded 50 percent, which is twice the statutory norm established by law — 25 percent. Today it is important not only to maintain these results but also to multiply them. That is why the region is conducting systematic work to increase the effectiveness of small business participation in public procurement. Entrepreneurs can directly discuss prospects for cooperation with government bodies at Supplier Days, as well as receive training on working with electronic trading platforms,” Maksim Cherkasov said.

      The minister added that in the “Course for the Young Supplier” webinar participants will learn about working in the field of public procurement: from the basics of the contract system legislation and the procedure for registering as a supplier to the nuances of bid securities, contract performance and warranty obligations. In addition, listeners will learn how to find and submit bids for procurements, understand the subtleties of tenders and re‑bids, and correctly conclude contracts in accordance with the requirements of Federal Law No. 44‑FZ.

      This is already the second procurement webinar in 2025 organized for Nizhny Novgorod businesses. The first, dedicated to the procurement of medicinal products, took place in July and gathered about 50 companies.

      According to the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, the national project “Efficient and Competitive Economy” will become the main instrument for forming a new growth model. It includes federal projects aimed at the development of small and medium enterprises, increasing labor productivity, boosting investment activity, low‑carbon development, and developing the state system of statistics and forecasting.
