On the section of the federal highway R-177 "Povetluzhye" in the Nizhny Novgorod region, temporary traffic restrictions will be introduced from 23 August to 30 October 2025. The changes will affect the stretch from the 75th to the 103rd kilometer within the Semyonov urban district. This was reported by FKU "Uprdor Moscow – Nizhny Novgorod".

According to it, the restrictions are related to preparatory work ahead of a major road surface repair planned for 2026–2027.

During the specified period, on certain sections of the road lane narrowing and a reduction in the speed limit are possible: to 50 km/h outside populated areas and to 40 km/h within them.

Restrictions also remain in effect on the federal highway R-158 Nizhny Novgorod – Saratov. In the Dalnekonstantinovsky district, on the section from the 40th to the 52nd kilometer, despite the suspension of the major repair with lane widening, traffic between the 41st and 46th kilometers remains restricted. Motorists can drive on two lanes, but must follow the temporary traffic schemes and the speed limits: 40 or 50 km/h depending on the signs.

In the Arzamas urban district, major repairs continue on the R-158 route from the 77th to the 104th kilometer. Works carried out by JSC "VAD" will continue until the end of October 2025. Throughout the entire section, lane narrowing is in effect, and on some sections reversible traffic is organized. The maximum permitted speed is 50 km/h, and within populated areas — 40 km/h.

Temporary restrictions are also being introduced on the R-177 "Povetluzhye" in the Nizhny Novgorod region. From 25 August to 30 October 2025, preparatory works will be carried out on the section from the 74th to the 103rd kilometer in the Semyonovsky urban district ahead of planned repairs scheduled for 2026–2027. The contractor is LLC "Stroybloktekhnologiya".

In addition, from 15 April to 31 December 2025, major repairs are being carried out on the bridge over the Lynda River at the 115th kilometer of the R-177 in the area of the village of Bokovaya (Semyonovsky district). Traffic is routed along a temporary detour road next to the bridge. The speed limit is 40 km/h.

At the 123rd kilometer of the route (Voskresensky district) traffic over the bridge across the Zimara River is restricted due to a reduction in the load-bearing capacity of the structures. Passage is possible only in one lane at a speed not exceeding 20 km/h.

Additionally, a ban has been introduced on crossing the bridge by vehicles with a total weight of more than 20 tonnes and an axle load exceeding 8 tonnes. For such vehicles, a detour is recommended via: Bokovaya – Krasnye Baki – Yadrovo – Vozdvizhenskoye – Voskresenskoye.

Drivers are advised to plan their routes in advance taking all restrictions into account, obey the speed limits and be especially attentive in work zones.

Earlier, restrictions were introduced on the section of the route from the 103rd to the 119th km in the Semyonov urban district. It was also reported that almost one billion rubles will be allocated for the repair of the R-177 in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
