In September, builders will begin laying an asphalt concrete surface on the old Borsky Bridge. This was reported to NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" by the Main Directorate of Highways of the region.
According to it, preparatory work is currently underway at various sections of the structure to prepare the concrete base for waterproofing, to install the waterproofing itself, and to mount expansion joints. Embedded elements for the future barrier railing are also being installed.
There are 46 workers on the site in the day shift and 10 in the night shift. All work is proceeding according to schedule.
The plan is to fully reopen traffic on the renovated bridge in December 2025. At present, vehicles can only travel in a single lane.
Recall that since July 27 reversible traffic has been in effect: on Sundays from 12:00 to 03:55 the new bridge has two lanes open toward Nizhny Novgorod and one lane toward Bor.
