Since the beginning of the year, the Development Corporation of the Nizhny Novgorod Region has selected 90 sites for the implementation of investment projects.
Specialists of the Corporation for the Development of the Nizhny Novgorod Region have selected 90 sites for entrepreneurs to implement investment projects in the first seven months of 2025.
A procedure for supporting investment projects on a “one-stop-shop” principle operates in the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The document optimizes the timeframes for reviewing investors’ applications. In particular, it specifies the period (three working days) within which executive authorities or local self-government bodies must forward information received from an investor to the Development Corporation, which operates on the one-stop-shop principle, and that from the moment an investor contacts government bodies to the time concrete proposals for sites for building the facility are sent to the investor should not exceed 14 days.
When selecting sites for investment projects, specialists of the Development Corporation use investment maps of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and the Russian Federation, as well as open sources, including data from the State Information System for ensuring the region’s urban-planning activities. Currently, around 500 investment sites are available to entrepreneurs on the Nizhny Novgorod Region investment map.
For example, in 2025 a plot of land in the Borsky District was selected within three days for the construction of a glamping park with an investment volume of 60 million rubles, as well as a site in Nizhny Novgorod for the creation of a complex for the production and storage of metal structures, the investment volume for this project will amount to 200 million rubles.
“The ‘one-stop-shop’ principle allows the Development Corporation to significantly reduce time and financial costs in project implementation, and also increases the efficiency of interaction with authorities. Our specialists provide businesses with all necessary support: from consultations on government support measures and site selection to the commissioning of enterprises and subsequent expansions,” said Igor Ishchenko, General Director of the Corporation for the Development of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
It should be recalled that the Nizhny Novgorod Region ranks second in the National Rating of the Investment Climate prepared by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI).
Improving the quality of work with investors and supporting them have been included since 2025 in the objectives of the national project “Effective and Competitive Economy,” initiated by the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin.
The national project “Effective and Competitive Economy” will become the main instrument for forming a new growth model. It includes federal projects aimed at developing small and medium-sized enterprises, increasing labor productivity, boosting investment activity, low-carbon development, and developing the state system of statistics and forecasting.
