FC "Pari NN" secured their first victory in the championship.

      Sport. In the fifth round of the RPL, Pari Nizhny Novgorod secured their first victory in the championship, beating Makhachkala's Dynamo 2:0. The match took place in Saransk.

      At the start Dynamo had more possession and attacked more often. However, it was the Nizhny Novgorod side who opened the scoring. As in the match against Rostov, Pari NN won a free kick, which Boselli converted — 1:0.

      On the 36th minute the Makhachkala side were close to an equalizer, but the goal was disallowed after a VAR review because the referees had spotted a handball in the attack.

      Almost immediately Pari NN doubled their lead. Shnaptsev broke through down the flank and crossed to Olusegun, who finished the pass at the far post — 2:0.

      In the second half Dynamo tried to come back, attacking actively, but the Nizhny Novgorod side organized their defense well and relied on counterattacks. Shpilevsky's team managed to hold on to the score and see the match out to victory.

      This is Pari NN's first win in the championship. The team's newcomer Vadim Pigas also made his debut in the game.

      For now the Nizhny Novgorod side are playing their home games in Saransk due to renovations of their home stadium on Strelka. The club is expected to return to Nizhny Novgorod in October.
