The speed of preparing rooms at the sports and tourist base will increase by 25% thanks to the federal project "Labor Productivity".

      Economy—Experts from the Regional Competence Center (RCC), together with staff from the Gorodetsky District branch of LLC Sports Base "Sea of Sport", summed up preliminary results of implementing tools from the federal project "Labor Productivity" of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy" at the sports and tourist base.

      Specialists from the regional competence center work at enterprises participating in the federal project for six months. After three months an Information Day is held, during which RCC experts sum up the work and present plans for the second part of the project.

      The company specializes in providing short-term accommodation and hosting sporting events.

      According to Maxim Cherkasov, Minister of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, the pilot workflow chosen was guest preparation for arrival and comprehensive room servicing (check-in, cleaning, check-out).

      "The RCC specialists, together with the working group, analyzed the company's on-site processes and identified 24 'bottlenecks', among them — lack of automation in room allocation, increased time for checkout cleaning, and absence of notifications about booking changes. Solutions were proposed for each of these points and an action plan was developed. Implementing the recommendations of the RCC specialists and the Sea of Sport team will reduce process time by 25 percent," Maxim Cherkasov said.

      RCC experts trained 12 company employees in lean technologies and are now preparing two internal trainers who will later be able to train their colleagues independently.

      The national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy", initiated by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, is the main tool for forming a new growth model. It includes federal projects aimed at developing small and medium-sized enterprises, increasing labor productivity, boosting investment activity, low-carbon development, and developing the state system of statistics and forecasting.
