      The Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Gleb Nikitin, sent congratulations to the residents of Nizhny Novgorod on the occasion of City Day, the regional government press service reported.

      In his address, the governor emphasized that Nizhny Novgorod is not just a point on the map, but a city with a special character, a rich history, recognizable architecture and a unique natural landscape. According to him, the city has a soul that is felt by everyone who has visited.

      "Nizhny has always been an important commercial, industrial and scientific center. Today it continues to play an important role in the life of the country, preserving its traditions and confidently moving forward," Nikitin noted.

      He drew attention to the positive changes taking place in the city. According to him, Nizhny Novgorod is developing actively: modern public spaces are appearing, new residential neighborhoods are being built, large cultural, social and sports projects are being implemented, and infrastructure is improving.

      "All these changes are made possible thanks to you — the residents of the city. Thanks to your labor, your faith in your native land, your love for its streets, sunsets and sunrises," the governor added.

      Nikitin also noted that with each passing year Nizhny Novgorod is becoming increasingly attractive to tourists. Guests come to the city from all over Russia and abroad, and many of them return again.

      "But the most important thing is the people of Nizhny. People of different professions, ages and views who believe in the city's future, find opportunities for self-realization here and sincerely wish prosperity for their homeland. Thank you for that," the head of the region said.

      In closing his congratulations, Gleb Nikitin expressed the hope that in the future Nizhny Novgorod will remain for every resident a place of strength, inspiration and warmth.

      "May your path and the path of your children always be connected with this city. May it remain the dearest and most unique place for you. Just as it has become for me," the governor summarized.
