      Technical running-in of tram tracks has begun on the section from Krasnoselskaya Street to the Molitovsky Bridge in Nizhny Novgorod, Ecological Projects LLC reported.

      The inspection is being carried out using a special tower car that allows assessment of the condition of the rails and the overhead contact line. During the running-in, specialists identify possible defects and eliminate them immediately.

      "Due to the complexity of the section, the work will take several days. The exact date for the resumption of tram services will be announced later," the company said.

      Recall that reconstruction of the tram tracks on this stretch began in February. The contractor reconfigured the track bed and replaced the contact network.
