      Head of Gorodetsky District Alexander Mudrov invited representatives of RANEPA to visit Zavolzhye. The decision was a reaction to a study published by the academy that included the town in a list of settlements that could disappear from maps within the next decade. The district head posted a video invitation on his Telegram channel.

      According to the study, Zavolzhye supposedly risks disappearing due to a lack of internal resources for development over the next ten years.

      Mudrov said he had sent an invitation to the academy's rector. The authorities of Gorodetsky District are calling on the authors of the study to come to Zavolzhye in person to assess the current situation in the town and its prospects. "I hope that colleagues will accept our invitation and see firsthand what is being done in the town and familiarize themselves with the development plans we have," emphasized the district head.
