The Minister of Sport of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Dmitry Kabaylo, has joined the commission for interaction with regional authorities in the field of sport under the Council for Regional Development of the Russian Student Sports Union (RSSU). This was reported by the Ministry of Sport of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The commission’s main task is to unite the efforts of different entities so that student sport in the regions develops faster, more vividly and more effectively. The commission includes representatives from ten Russian regions — ministers and heads of sports departments who are well acquainted with how the system works locally. The Nizhny Novgorod Region is represented on the commission by the region’s Minister of Sport, Dmitry Kabaylo. The commission under the RSSU will become another platform for exchanging experience, coordinating approaches and implementing the best solutions in student sport. The commission is chaired by the Minister of Physical Culture and Sport of the Moscow Region, Dmitry Abarenov, and his deputy is the Minister of Sport of Mordovia, Nikita Larkov. The commission has already started working — they are discussing how to update regional programs, launch a ranking of student sport development and implement best practices across the country.
