Nizhny Novgorod residents receive notifications about being entered into the Unified Military Register.

      Residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region have begun receiving notifications that their data have been entered into the unified military registration register. Messages are delivered through the Gosuslugi portal and also as SMS notifications, Nizhny Novgorod residents said.

      A personal account has already been created in the system for each person liable for military service. Recipients can request an extract from the register or submit an application to correct inaccurate data by following the links provided in the notification.

      The register is a state information system where citizens can check for the presence of summons, obtain copies of them, and request extracts. The service became available on Gosuslugi in May 2025. And in July the distribution of notifications about entries into the database began.

      If a citizen receives a notification about the formation of a summons, he is required to appear at the military enlistment office within seven days. In this case the date of the visit is indicated in the letter, and failure to appear may entail administrative liability.

      An electronic summons is considered delivered seven days after it is posted in the register and on Gosuslugi. If, after that, the citizen does not appear at the military enlistment office within 20 days, restrictive measures may be applied to him (a ban on registering as a sole proprietor, registering vehicles, or obtaining loans).

      The Ministry of Defense previously noted that notifications about being entered into the register are purely informational. No response to them or contacting the military enlistment office is required.

      Earlier it was reported that a Nizhny Novgorod resident attempted to change in court the fitness-for-service category assigned to him, but was refused.
