In Turkey, it has been proposed to change the dining format in All Inclusive hotels to an à la carte system, where guests order individual dishes. This is aimed at reducing food waste, which amounts to up to 23 tons a year. The initiative was put forward by the Council for Agricultural Policy, Turkish media reported.

The Council's report notes that more than a third of the fruits and vegetables intended for the buffet are unused and discarded. This underscores the need to change the approach to food service in hotels.

Representatives of the Russian Union of the Travel Industry (RST) are concerned that abandoning the All Inclusive system could lead to an outflow of tourists from Turkey.

RST member Nadezhda Tarbaeva, speaking to the 360 TV channel, proposed a compromise: switching to an à la carte system while preserving the option to order All Inclusive. This would reduce the amount of waste and maintain Turkey's appeal.

Leonid Gelibterman, head of the RST committee on gastronomic tourism, noted that the buffet with a wide selection of dishes and drinks is one of Turkey's main attractions for tourists. He expressed hope that Turkish authorities would find a compromise solution that would allow the All Inclusive system to be preserved with some changes.

Artur Muradyan, vice president of the Association of Tour Operators (ATOR), also expressed confidence that Turkish hoteliers would find ways to adapt to the new conditions. He believes that a ban on the All Inclusive system will not lead to a significant outflow of tourists, since hoteliers will be able to offer alternative options that meet guests' needs.
