      Incidents

      On Sormovskoye Highway in Nizhny Novgorod on the morning of 11 August a serious road traffic accident involving four vehicles occurred. This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      According to preliminary information, at around eight in the morning a 51-year-old driver behind the wheel of a "Toyota" lost control and crashed into a "Nissan" driven by a 47-year-old woman. The impact sent the "Nissan" into an "Exid", which in turn veered into the oncoming lane and collided with a "Hyundai" driven by a 38-year-old man.

      Three people were injured in the crash. Among the injured were also two children who were passengers in the "Hyundai". They received medical assistance and were released home. The driver of the "Exid" was hospitalized.

      Traffic police officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.

      Earlier it was reported that underage drivers caused more than 30 traffic accidents in Nizhny Novgorod over six months.
