Society. From August 12 to 17 the 14th Orthodox youth bike ride "Road to the Temple" will take place in the Nizhny Novgorod region, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
The total length of the route is 400 km (of which the actual cycling distance is 270 km); it will pass through the key settlements: Bor, Rozhnovo, Yamnovo, Makaryevo, Lyskovо, Knyaginino, Bolshoye Murashkino, Perevoz, Vad and Arzamas.
The program includes spiritual-educational and historical-cultural events: visits to the shrines of the Nizhny Novgorod Metropolia, the Mokhovye Hills, the Makaryev Monastery, as well as 12 holy springs dedicated to the Apostles of Christ at Vad.
The final point is Arzamas, where participants will be able to get acquainted with ancient monasteries and the Museum of the Russian Patriarchate.
Throughout the route the cycling column will be accompanied by support vehicles, and showers and comfortable sleeping accommodations will be organized at the overnight stops. After completion of the route the organizers' transport will deliver participants to Nizhny Novgorod. All travelers will receive branded gear and gifts.
Young people aged 18 to 40 are invited to participate in the bike ride. To participate you must submit an application via online registration at: https://forms.gle/izq9UideJ2NWrgPs8.
