Society. A contract with the Ministry of Defense helped a resident of Nizhny Novgorod Region pay off debts of 750,000 rubles. This was reported by the press service of the regional Main Directorate of the Federal Bailiff Service (FSSP).
According to it, a 27-year-old man from Sosnovsky District, deprived of parental rights and not officially employed anywhere, for a long time did not pay alimony for his minor child. His alimony debt reached 250,000 rubles. In connection with this, bailiffs froze the debtor’s accounts and restricted his right to travel abroad. He was also brought to criminal liability under Article 157 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation for evading alimony payments.
Later another enforcement document was received by the bailiff service. The man, without a driver’s license and while intoxicated, caused a traffic accident in someone else’s GAZ “GAZelle” vehicle. As a result of the accident, material damage amounting to 500,000 rubles was caused.
Both enforcement proceedings were combined into one consolidated case, but at that time the debtor had no official income and could not repay the debts.
"The desire to repay the debt was the reason for signing a contract with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation," the FSSP noted.
While participating in the special operation, the man was able to stabilize his financial situation and fully repay the debts. After that all restrictions were lifted from him, including the ban on traveling abroad. He now regularly transfers alimony payments and fulfills his parental obligations.
Earlier it was reported that in 2024 bailiffs recovered more than 1.5 billion rubles from alimony debtors in Nizhny Novgorod. NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has a Telegram channel.
