      Vladislav Talanov, an engineer in the electricity metering and loss optimization department of the Rosseti Centre and Privolzhye branch — Nizhnovenergo — conquered the highest mountain peak in Russia and Europe — the western summit of Elbrus, the company's press service reports.

      As part of a 12-person group the power engineer completed a challenging 55-kilometer route. But the ascent was not without difficulties: due to bad weather Vladislav's team was evacuated after four days on the trail.

      The climbers did not give up and attempted the summit again, this time from the southern side. And the goal was achieved — they reached the summit at 5,642 meters above sea level!

      "A dream that once seemed unattainable has finally come true! Crossing the final meters of the route, I experienced an incomparable feeling of triumph. Emotions overwhelmed me — after all, I really did it, overcame all obstacles and proved to myself that nothing is impossible," says Vladislav.

      Along with our colleague, two more employees from the company's structural divisions — Rosseti North and Rosseti South — completed this difficult journey. Together they unfurled a flag on one of the greatest peaks of Russia and Europe.

      "Climbing mountains is not just a sport, but a true test of oneself, where every step requires concentration, courage and mutual support. It's a path to self-discovery and new discoveries that gives unforgettable emotions and impressions," says Vladislav.
