A graffiti in honor of the HERO of the SMO, Sergey Franco, was opened in Nizhny Novgorod.

      On August 7, in the Sovietovsky district of Nizhny Novgorod, a ceremonial opening of an art installation dedicated to Sergeant Sergey Franco, who heroically died fulfilling his military duty in the SVO (Special Military Operation), took place. The mural was created by Victory Volunteers as part of the project "Image of Victory. Connection of Generations."

      At the opening ceremony, graffiti was present with the head of the Sovietovsky district administration, Svetlana Gorbunova, the widow and children of the hero, activists of the "Victory Volunteers" movement and the regional branch of the "First Movement," as well as city residents.

      Sergey Franco dedicated his life to professional service in the Russian Armed Forces. In 2016, he participated in combat operations in the Syrian Arab Republic and was awarded high state honors. In 2022, he voluntarily went to the front line of the SVO. He heroically died while fulfilling a combat mission and was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage.

      "Each graffiti opening within the 'Image of Victory' project is a special event for the volunteer movement. Today, we commemorated a true hero—Sergey Franco, whose feat became an example of selfless service to the Motherland. His life is an example of true bravery, devotion to his country, and unyielding will. Victory Volunteers will continue to do everything possible so that the younger generation knows and remembers real heroes," emphasized Maria Samedelkina, head of the regional branch of the Victory Volunteers.

      As part of the "Image of Victory" project, applications are accepted for creating memorial graffiti in honor of participants of the Great Patriotic War, heroes of the special military operation, and internationalist soldiers.
